Our amazing ad.

As I have explained before here goes our ad which encourages people to make some boluntaring work. We have inspirited in the UEFA´s last advertisement and despite the lack of time, the result has been great! Our idea was to do it with people of different ages but we two days left for the exam, the recovered it at least with some students of our age.

GYMKHANA.

As I have said, there goes the explanation of our idea for the campaign. It has never been done but sure that it would turn our really successful and helpful so that the students could understand the crisis situation.

GYMKHANA:

This is an activity we have done with some of the younger students. We put them in different families, and gave each one different roles. Some were the parents, the others were kids. Then we simulated the situation nowadays to concern them about it. In order to that, each family earned a different amount of money. They had to get by and try an live a normal life by going to school, work, the hospital, Inem for the unemployed. To represent the crisis with more emphasis there were some people that were the recession who took the money of them and others were the ilness who made them ill and then they had to get to the hospital and pay to be cured. Finally, there was a policeman who controlled that everything was going on.

Here´s what they needed to do in each area:

SCHOOL:
-A debate between them to talk about the young people with problems of unemployment.
-Test about the different things the EU does to deal with the crisis.

HOSPITAL:
  • They decide who has preference to be cured in a non-public hospital. They also have to pay for their assitance.

SHOP:
  • Different shops and they had to realise which ones were the multinational brands and which were their locas bussinesses. Moreover, they had to figure out the advantages and drawbacks  of globalization.

INEM:
  • Some parents weren't given any jobs so they had to see what was available. They also have to propose a new bussiness.
  • Other people were sacked from their work and had to find a solution.
( We brought some newspaper with job adds).

WORK:

  • They were told how much money they needed for the school,hospital,shop... So they had to make it to the end of the month.
  • The conditions at work were very bad, they didn't have time to rest and didn't own a lot of money.

PATXIXA, FEEL, THINK, ACT!

As I have said before this term our aim was to participate in a competition which it´s objective was to make people aware of the Europe´s situation. We have almost done all the tasks but unfortunately the exam arrived and we could finish them all. In this post and the followings above it, I am going to upload what we have done and what we should have done.

First of all, we decided a slogan FEEL, THINK, ACT. It is simply but direct and people understands the message easily. Taking into account that we are students, as target group we took the unemployed young people in Europe. All of us have done some power points where is explained with statistics the current situation and the difficulties that suffer the young people. In fact, our near future.

Another task asked was to work with an NGO. We have presented a lot of ideas such as going to Cáritas and try them doing some helpful work, trying to get in touch with ¨Banco de Alimentos¨ but unfortunately none of them was gone on. However, we have hardly tried to contact with ¨Traperos Emaus¨ another important NGO which is near us.

As fas as the campaign it´s concerned, the idea of make people aware of the problem was partially  a fail. Our ideas were great but starting with the first we have had a lot of problems with the school´s direction in order to do it. Our idea, an gymkhana (which will be better explained in the next post), was quite complicated but it was likely to succeed in achieving our objective, to aware people. At the end, we got the permission of the direction but it was too late. When I said that it was partially a fail is because as for the fact to concern people we have done a amazing video ( I will upload it right now) and it has been made by some students of the school.

We have done a lot of things. However, it seems not to be enough. Some tasks are already left such as a magazine where it has to be all our work summed up. The slogan, the poster, the target group presentation, the ad, some interviews we have done to get information about the target group (young unemployed) and our campaign.

So Patxixa please, FEEL, THINK, ACT! And I am sure that you will take in to account our great job.

Ireland.

Last month we were to an exchange to Ireland and it was amazing. Fortunately and not so common, we came back dry because the weather was quite well. We have done a lot of activities and I was really surprised with their educational system. Despite the fact that this year is one of the harder as fas as the studies are concerned, for them this year is only due to make projects.  In my opinion, I think that it´s great, like that they are bond to be more imaginative and actually they are, we saw a school musical theatre the first day! I think that it would be imposible here...

Mullingar, the city where we were stayed it is not very big, that´s why we went to Dublin, the capital city, several times. There, as well as shopping a lot, we visited the local zoo. I had been there before with my parent and I liked very much but at this time, I found it very sad, the animal were like in kind of prisions.

And other day that was quite rainy, we went to cinema and be say a real blockbuster film that I wanted to for a long time because I am found of the books. At this time I was also astonished with how easy you can understand a film, it is much different when you have to speak with your partner...

Specially thanks to my host family, they were very nice and they took me like a daughter and in fact it seems that I look like a family member.
Here Andrew in my left and his brother Alex in the right.

Working with a NGO.

This term our aim is to win in a competition whose aim is to deal with current european situations. One of the task asked is to work with an NGO. Because of that, we have been searching and I think that it would be great to work with ¨Cáritas¨.
There is the map where it´s explained where you can find it in Donosti.

In this video it´s explained what does Cáritas but to sum up with the slogan of live simply so others may simply live, they help needed people giving them money, clothe and so on.

Ad draft!

Our aim in this term is to make people be aware of the actual situation in Europe and try to offer boluntaring work. In order to succeed we have made this ad draft which is only a brief idea of what is going to be. The slogan is short but direct and the image shows that we have to do something to achieve a better world.

Due to this crisis, some countries are achiving a lot of benefits whereas others suffer more day to day.  The ones which are suffering are called PIIGS. (Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece and Spain).
Moreover it is completely joined with the amount of unemployment in those countries. There are some pictures explaining it well as well as the whole presentation.

CIAO ITALY!

One year ago, today we were in Italy doing an exchange with some students from a little town of La Toscana, Lucca. Although we didn´t learn a lot of italian, it was great! We have a fantastic time as well as learning a lot of the Italian culture which has a lot to show.  We went to Firenze which I love it a lot. Another day we were sighseeing through Pisa but we weren´t capable of visiting the tower inside.  Finally we went to Siena, this was the town I like most which its square that rises a friendly atmosphere.
After having this fantastic experience I am looking forward to going to Ireland. I have get in contact with my Irish partner and she is so friendly. They are six of theme at home so I will feel almost like at home!

Transnational Companies

Thinking more about the globalization, we are going to do a list of some products that we have at home that have been made hole over the world. There are some brands that own most of the little brands and daily we consume things giving money for the same company.

As far as the things that we have at home are concerned, unfortunately, my mobile phone´s quality is not good enough so I will upload some picture from the internet about the transnational companies I found at home.

As the technologic products I found this Apple remote where is written that have been designed in California despite being fabricated in China.

The transnational products regarding the food I found the Kellogg´s  which have been exported from France.
Among the clothe I found in my trainers that they have been made in China

THE CLOSET

THE CLOSET

The Closet is a French film written by Francis Veber which was recorded in 2001 in Cannes Film Festival. It is about a man who pretends to be homosexual to keep his job, with absurd and unexpected consequences. The cast consist of Daniel Auteuil as François Pignon, the main character. Gérard Depardieu as Félix Santini, a homophobic co-worker who used to harass him. Michel Aumont as Belone, his neighbor who changes his life. Michéle Laroque as Mademoiselle Bertrand, his assistant and Alexandra Vandernoot as Christine his wife.

Franóis Pignon, an unassuming divorced man with a teenager son who ignores completely him, works in a rubber factory. When he realizes that he will be fired from his job as an accountant, he thinks that he should suicide. However, his new Neighbor, a psychologis, dissuades him from jumping from his balcony and star giving him suggestions to keep his job. Belone proposes that Pignon star a rumor that he is homosexual showing some provocative images to his boss, Mr. Kopel. The rubber´s factory´s main products are condoms so because of the fact that the gay community is essential for the factory Mr. Kopel decides to keep Pignon.

Pignon doesn´t change his behaviour but some of his co-workers and supervisor begin to regard him differently, seeing him as exotic. His life becomes unexpectedly and dramatically better. Félix Santini, a homophobic collegue who used to harras him, has been warned that he could be fired for discrimination if he continues with this attitude so he star making friendly overtures with Pignon. His friendship develops into a obsessive attraction and he has to be institutionalized to recover from his emotional breakdown.

The company enters a float in a local gay pride parade and Pignon goes riding on it. When his son watches him on the television feels thrilled. He want to learn his father, who he has always find boring and bland, he show more interest to meet with him and they spend more time together. Finally he gains enough self- confidence to tell her ex-wife what he thinks of her. After that, he is discovered by Kopel who catches him making love in the office to his co-worker Mademoiselle Bertrand. Despite that, he keeps his job, spends time with his son, recovered his relationship with Santini and Cheers up Belone and lives happily ever after.

The film shows in a comedy exaggerated political correctness and the panic it can engender as it is bigotry. In a liberal country such as France it is clearly a parody of the correct reaction in front of a common thing such as homosexuality.  The theme is shown with humor which gives the film a lot advantages instead of showing a common dramatic film of a homosexual no acepted in the society. Because of this movie, Daniel Auteuil (Pignon) was named Best Actor at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

This film isn´t directly related with our affair, homophobia in Russia. Instead of showing the non aceptation, what happens in Russia with the LGBT community it shows the over aceptation which a lot of times brings different treat to homosexual people which is also a bad reaction. We should take into account that they are normal, and forget the all prejudges that were made in our society.

Globalization.

Some years ago my family and us went to Paris. There after having visited all the museums of the city, such as the Louvre, and the wellknown Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral we went for two days to Disneyland Paris. It was amazing but now I realize that we were in fact in France and we were watching all kind of Disney´s characters which all of theme are American. What does it really mean?
It is only another stuff of the globalization, ideas which are economical are expanded in all the world.

Ouooou! The bad red queen of the Alicia´s wonderland has escaped.

Taking part in a NGO.

In instance, National Geographic, worldwide wellknown magazine, said in 2011 that we were seven billion people in the world.

Here goes the link of the new about seven bilion people in our little planet.

There is another graph which could be better explained.

GLOBALIZATION

The term globalisation refers to proces ses of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. It is often claimed that all this points are profits for future development. However, there are other who believe that it entails a great deal of drawbacks. Therefore, both cases need to be commented

On one hand as far as the advantages are concerned, it is true that there are more products available all over the world with less effort and work. Advances in transportation and telecomunication are clear and that is why one is capable of being in contact with another one on the other side of the world. We all are generating further interdependence of economic and cultural activities.

On the other hand there are notable disadvantages that should be underlined. Taking into acount that one of the aim of the globalisation is the idea of the companies producing worldwhile brands it affects a lot of local little industies. Moreover, a great deal of employees have to decide between going abroad to work or leaving their inhumane jobs.

In conclusion,  globalisation could look as a great development in our nowadays lives although looking toward more distant days of the future, the idea of preserving our local companies sound better. I suggest that we should try helping eachother. However, we cannot forget the other countries´ affairs. In fact we all life in this little planet, the Earth.
