CIAO ITALY!

One year ago, today we were in Italy doing an exchange with some students from a little town of La Toscana, Lucca. Although we didn´t learn a lot of italian, it was great! We have a fantastic time as well as learning a lot of the Italian culture which has a lot to show.  We went to Firenze which I love it a lot. Another day we were sighseeing through Pisa but we weren´t capable of visiting the tower inside.  Finally we went to Siena, this was the town I like most which its square that rises a friendly atmosphere.
After having this fantastic experience I am looking forward to going to Ireland. I have get in contact with my Irish partner and she is so friendly. They are six of theme at home so I will feel almost like at home!

Transnational Companies

Thinking more about the globalization, we are going to do a list of some products that we have at home that have been made hole over the world. There are some brands that own most of the little brands and daily we consume things giving money for the same company.

As far as the things that we have at home are concerned, unfortunately, my mobile phone´s quality is not good enough so I will upload some picture from the internet about the transnational companies I found at home.

As the technologic products I found this Apple remote where is written that have been designed in California despite being fabricated in China.

The transnational products regarding the food I found the Kellogg´s  which have been exported from France.
Among the clothe I found in my trainers that they have been made in China

THE CLOSET

THE CLOSET

The Closet is a French film written by Francis Veber which was recorded in 2001 in Cannes Film Festival. It is about a man who pretends to be homosexual to keep his job, with absurd and unexpected consequences. The cast consist of Daniel Auteuil as François Pignon, the main character. Gérard Depardieu as Félix Santini, a homophobic co-worker who used to harass him. Michel Aumont as Belone, his neighbor who changes his life. Michéle Laroque as Mademoiselle Bertrand, his assistant and Alexandra Vandernoot as Christine his wife.

Franóis Pignon, an unassuming divorced man with a teenager son who ignores completely him, works in a rubber factory. When he realizes that he will be fired from his job as an accountant, he thinks that he should suicide. However, his new Neighbor, a psychologis, dissuades him from jumping from his balcony and star giving him suggestions to keep his job. Belone proposes that Pignon star a rumor that he is homosexual showing some provocative images to his boss, Mr. Kopel. The rubber´s factory´s main products are condoms so because of the fact that the gay community is essential for the factory Mr. Kopel decides to keep Pignon.

Pignon doesn´t change his behaviour but some of his co-workers and supervisor begin to regard him differently, seeing him as exotic. His life becomes unexpectedly and dramatically better. Félix Santini, a homophobic collegue who used to harras him, has been warned that he could be fired for discrimination if he continues with this attitude so he star making friendly overtures with Pignon. His friendship develops into a obsessive attraction and he has to be institutionalized to recover from his emotional breakdown.

The company enters a float in a local gay pride parade and Pignon goes riding on it. When his son watches him on the television feels thrilled. He want to learn his father, who he has always find boring and bland, he show more interest to meet with him and they spend more time together. Finally he gains enough self- confidence to tell her ex-wife what he thinks of her. After that, he is discovered by Kopel who catches him making love in the office to his co-worker Mademoiselle Bertrand. Despite that, he keeps his job, spends time with his son, recovered his relationship with Santini and Cheers up Belone and lives happily ever after.

The film shows in a comedy exaggerated political correctness and the panic it can engender as it is bigotry. In a liberal country such as France it is clearly a parody of the correct reaction in front of a common thing such as homosexuality.  The theme is shown with humor which gives the film a lot advantages instead of showing a common dramatic film of a homosexual no acepted in the society. Because of this movie, Daniel Auteuil (Pignon) was named Best Actor at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

This film isn´t directly related with our affair, homophobia in Russia. Instead of showing the non aceptation, what happens in Russia with the LGBT community it shows the over aceptation which a lot of times brings different treat to homosexual people which is also a bad reaction. We should take into account that they are normal, and forget the all prejudges that were made in our society.

Globalization.

Some years ago my family and us went to Paris. There after having visited all the museums of the city, such as the Louvre, and the wellknown Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral we went for two days to Disneyland Paris. It was amazing but now I realize that we were in fact in France and we were watching all kind of Disney´s characters which all of theme are American. What does it really mean?
It is only another stuff of the globalization, ideas which are economical are expanded in all the world.

In instance, National Geographic, worldwide wellknown magazine, said in 2011 that we were seven billion people in the world.

Here goes the link of the new about seven bilion people in our little planet.

There is another graph which could be better explained.

GLOBALIZATION

The term globalisation refers to proces ses of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. It is often claimed that all this points are profits for future development. However, there are other who believe that it entails a great deal of drawbacks. Therefore, both cases need to be commented

On one hand as far as the advantages are concerned, it is true that there are more products available all over the world with less effort and work. Advances in transportation and telecomunication are clear and that is why one is capable of being in contact with another one on the other side of the world. We all are generating further interdependence of economic and cultural activities.

On the other hand there are notable disadvantages that should be underlined. Taking into acount that one of the aim of the globalisation is the idea of the companies producing worldwhile brands it affects a lot of local little industies. Moreover, a great deal of employees have to decide between going abroad to work or leaving their inhumane jobs.

In conclusion,  globalisation could look as a great development in our nowadays lives although looking toward more distant days of the future, the idea of preserving our local companies sound better. I suggest that we should try helping eachother. However, we cannot forget the other countries´ affairs. In fact we all life in this little planet, the Earth.
